01What Scrivid Does

Scrivid is a browser-based AI video generator that turns a script and a voice into a fully produced short video. The Service provides:

• AI-generated voice-overs using MiniMax preset voices
• Automatic selection of royalty-free images and video clips
• Word-level caption generation and synchronisation
• Background music from a curated royalty-free library
• In-browser video rendering and download

02Your Account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abusive behaviour, or are used for unlawful purposes.

03Images and Video Clips

All images and video clips used in Scrivid-generated videos are sourced from the following royalty-free platforms:

• Pexels — licensed under the Pexels License (free for commercial use, no attribution required)
• Unsplash — licensed under the Unsplash License (free for commercial use)
• Pixabay — licensed under the Pixabay Content License (free for commercial use)

These assets are cleared for use in commercial videos including YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms. You may publish, sell, or monetise videos created with these assets without restriction.

04AI Voices

Scrivid uses preset AI voices provided by MiniMax via their Text-to-Audio API. All preset voices available in the Service are licensed for commercial use, including in published and monetised videos.

You may use AI-generated voice-overs in videos published on any platform, for any lawful commercial or non-commercial purpose.

05Background Music

The background music library in Scrivid consists of tracks generated using AI music tools and curated specifically for creator use. All tracks in the Scrivid music library are:

• Royalty-free and cleared for commercial use
• Safe for use on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and similar platforms
• Free from third-party copyright claims

You may use these tracks in videos you publish, sell, or monetise without paying additional licensing fees or providing attribution.

06Uploading Your Own Audio

Starter and Pro plans let you upload your own audio recording instead of using the AI voice-over generator. Uploaded audio must fit within your plan's duration limit. If you have a transcript of your audio, pasting it during upload significantly improves caption accuracy, since Scrivid uses your exact words rather than relying solely on automatic transcription.

07Uploading Your Own MusicPlanned Feature

Support for uploading your own background music tracks is a planned feature and is not yet available in the Service. This section will be updated with the applicable terms once the feature is released. No plan, including Pro, currently includes this capability.

08Content You Create

You retain full ownership of the videos you create with Scrivid. We do not claim any rights over your output. However, you agree that:

• You will not use Scrivid to create content that is illegal, defamatory, hateful, or misleading
• You will not use Scrivid to generate spam, misinformation, or deepfakes intended to deceive
• You will not reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the Service itself

We reserve the right to remove content and terminate accounts that violate these guidelines, at our sole discretion.

09Copyright Infringement Notices (DMCA)

Scrivid respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. If you believe content on Scrivid infringes your copyright, you may submit a notice to our designated agent under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA):

Notices should include: identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed; identification of the material claimed to be infringing and its location on Scrivid; your contact information; a statement of good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized; and a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Users who believe their content was removed in error may submit a counter-notification to the same contact above.

10Subscriptions and Payments

Scrivid offers a free plan and paid plans (Starter and Pro). Paid plans are billed monthly and processed securely by Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.

• You may cancel your subscription at any time from the billing page
• Downgrades to a lower paid plan, or to the free plan, take effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep your current plan's video allowance until then
• Upgrades to a higher plan take effect immediately, and you will be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current billing period
• We do not offer refunds for partial months
• Video limits reset at the start of each billing period, or immediately upon a plan change that increases your allowance
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice

11Availability and Limitations

We aim to keep Scrivid available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, update the Service, or experience downtime due to third-party providers (including MiniMax, Pexels, Unsplash, Pixabay, Cloudflare, and Turso).

Video generation quality depends on the script, voice, and assets available at the time of generation. We do not guarantee any specific output quality.

12Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scrivid and its operator are not liable for:

• Loss of revenue, profits, or business arising from use of the Service
• Copyright claims arising from content you upload or create
• Platform demonetisation or content removal caused by your videos
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Your use of Scrivid is at your own risk. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

13Privacy

We collect the minimum data necessary to provide the Service: your email address, account activity, subscription status, and product usage/analytics data (collected via PostHog) used to understand how the Service is used and to improve it. We do not sell your data to third parties. Files you generate are stored securely on Cloudflare R2 and are accessible only to you.

By using Scrivid, you agree to the collection and use of your data as described above. A full Privacy Policy will be published separately.

14Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Scrivid after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

For significant changes, we will notify you by email.
